I am thinking about buying a 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4 door, but is the hood able to be opened from outside?
I am worried about this, because it has clips on both sides, and I wanna know can it be opened from outside, because if so I won’t buy one because of thieves stealing part or whatnot. Please let me know. Thanks
Yes, it can be opened from the outside without a key as it comes from the dealer, however, you can buy an aftermarket locking device to secure the hood.
F.Y. I. Any 2007 Wrangler is newly designed (NOT by Daimler motors) and has a newer, first year of production V6 engine, not the tried and true I6. I love all jeep products but I think that Chrysler downgraded a lot of features that made Wranglers the awesome off road vehicle they were up to 2006.
If having 4 doors is not a deal breaker, look into buying a 2006 Wrangler TJ, the last year of the Daimler / Chrysler Wrangler. With the money you save on a new vehicle you can upgrade to the Sport or Rubicon options.
