are there any jeep speciality places that restore them that buy them?

well, generally, autotrader.ca will have it sold in a week… actually, i’m looking for a wagoneer, lol. of course, i live in ontario, and have no idea where you are selling from. i would say sell it to me, lol. ya, auto trader is a really good start, just creat an account, and there is an option to sell your vehicle on their home page. the really expensive wagoneers sit around for a while though. anything under 5 grand tends to go within the week. i would know. i’ve been whatching wagoneers on autotrader for a few years now (seems like a long time i know). if i knew the km’s on it (possibly miles) and the condition, possibly a pic, i could probably tell you an estimate price. there used to be a guy who bought clean wagoneers and restored them to factory specs (based in California i believe.. too far for me). he did a beautiful job, bar none he was the best i’d seen. better than factory (unfortunately, he closed up shop a year ago). there is a good chance of selling in the states too. more people know about them there. here in ontario you almost never see them. personally i love them, they look so cool. anyways, hope this helps.

Where to get inexpensive electronic key for 2000 Jeep Wrangler?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

I recently bought a used Jeep Wrangler and it unfortunately only came with one key and the teeth are somewhat worn so it can be difficult to remove. I have heard there is are cheaper places (other than the dealer) to get new electronic keys. Does anyone know of such a place? I’m afraid they key may get worn to the point where I can’t even use it and I would like to have one or two backups.

If you have an “electric” chipped key, you will need 2 of the original ones in order to add a 3rd key. It involves the programming. You need to insert the 2 correct ones before programming the 3rd. You can get chipped and unchipped keys from 4wd.com. If you only have one chipped key, you need to go to a dealer, and that’s expensive.

Look up 4wd and call them. They are Jeep nutz and they are very helpful.
